You have to want to learn how to work with the client and what their demands/ needs are. Working with a new client can be challenging but I did the best on my end to prepare for success and used all the great resources that S2 provided us with. They do the absolute best at making sure everything is as seamless as possible and that employees feel appreciated. I truly admire how transparent management is. I have met some of the most amazing people. Hiring employees with similar core values and big personalities is what works. Source2 has a strategic way of hiring and does a great job at doing so. From the moment I stepped into the S2 office, I was blown away by how modern and put-together the office was. The training class and organization were seamless. However, I applied to S2 through Indeed and was extremely thrilled when I was hired on. Becoming a recruiter ( especially amid COVID) seemed nearly impossible without any recruitment experience. The turnover at this company is insane.Īs I was approaching my last year of college, I was working in the HR field as a part-time employee but I had always wanted to get into the recruiting field. The training was severely lacking, and it showed. Having never recruited before, I was expecting and hoping for a general training on how to interview, identify skills/experience relevant to the job, etc, but had none. To make matters worse, although they expect peak performance, including meeting unattainable goals, they do not pay well recruiters start out at $15/hour (you can make the same amount working at Target as a cashier and have more job security and less responsibilities). Put simply, there is no job security in this company. They routinely "showed people the door" after not making their goals set by the client (in almost every case, through no fault of the recruiter's own), all in an effort to appease the client while making no mention of how we all felt (management included) that their expectations were simply not realistic, given the job market. The expectations of the client I was working for were absolutely unattainable, and although management admitted as much, they still held us to it. Source2 was kind enough to take me in and "show me the ropes." However, that was the extent of their kindness. I was seeking a career change into HR with no experience in the industry.
